Rose, Thorn, Bud
The idea here is to give everyone 20 minutes to work individually, focusing on a specific process/use case, to write down what works well in the process (rose), what doesn’t work well (blue), and what are opportunities (buds)
Cluster Analysis
Here one person will begin with bringing up any of their notes and then the rest will add to it notes that are similar. Notes will get moved around as more go on the board, eventually resulting in clusters of themes.
Importance/Difficulty Matrix
The cluster names from the previous exercise will be placed in this matrix to identify the low hanging fruit, strategic opportunities and the highest ROI. Typically, one idea from low hanging fruit and from highest ROI are developed further in an Architecture Design Session.
